Wow, it’s amazing how well your grandmother knows about Kopi Luwak!

One day she told me a story she read about a special kind of coffee called Kopi Luwak from an Indonesian travelogue, which people in Hong Kong call ‘cat shit coffee’. The coffee cherries were eaten and defecated by civets (they are cat-like animals), and the poop was collected to make Kopi Luwak. Grandma joked that she could feed our cats some beans and start a homemade Kopi Luwak business.
